TabTrade - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that is a few months old, that range is broad.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is offered for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That will be a good addition when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. The point is the setup is serious. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package holds up. Not many platforms in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the part that matters. TabTrade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should inform how you think about it.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works depends on you.
